OTR CIRCUIT: WEEK 2 NOTEBOOK

March 25, 2026 — On The Radar Hoops

15U: Perfect 4-0 Record

Our 15U squad turned in a perfect 4-0 record at the OTR Birmingham Classic, and was noted as having the most depth of all 15U teams evaluated by On The Radar scouts.

Point guard Liam McTeer had the breakout performance of the weekend, scoring 20+ points per game on Saturday. The backcourt depth featuring Bear Bridges, Logan Hunt, and Alton Snapp gives us flexibility to switch up looks and keep fresh legs on the floor. Wing Sam Cockrell and posts Alex Faloye and Bryson Dickey were highlighted for their "massive athletic upsides."

17U: Strong Debut

The 17U team made a great opening impression on the circuit, finishing 2-2 for the weekend with several talented 2028 prospects on the roster.

OTR scouts highlighted the interior duo of Frank Jamieson and Mike Lynch, along with guards Carter King, Trent Witte, and Toby Stretch as players to watch going forward.

Community Service

GOSHEN VALLEY SERVICE EVENT

Our players spent a day serving at Goshen Valley, a foster care ministry that provides homes and hope for children in need. They moved supplies, stacked donations, unloaded trailers, and got to interact with the kids they were helping support. Service is a foundational part of who we are as a program.

Our 15U players were invited to be special guests at the Allstate Danny Wuerffel Trophy ceremony. Our players got to meet and hear from Heisman winner, college football champion and former NFL quarterback Danny Wuerffel.

They were able to see firsthand what it looks like for people to use their athletic abilities as a way to make the world around them a better place. Multiple college football players were in attendance, sharing their stories of community service and impact.

They got to hear a powerful speech by Texas defensive star Michael Taaffe, the recipient of this year's award. Michael is an NFL prospect who has raised over $100,000 to serve his community.

We're so grateful for our partnership with this incredible organization, helping us show our players that life is bigger than basketball.

Daniel Garza shooting a basketball

My name is Daniel Garza. I am a graduate of Lassiter High School (Class of 2009). After high school, I attended Pfeiffer University, where I played collegiate basketball for one year.

Following my time at Pfeiffer, I joined the United States Coast Guard and had the opportunity to live and serve in Alaska, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. During my service, I continued to play competitive basketball, including participating on a Seattle-based travel team and competing in Armed Forces tournaments against other military branches.

I am a proud husband and father of two children—one son and one daughter. My wife is also a Lassiter graduate and played collegiate basketball as well, so athletics have always been an important part of our family.

I earned my degree in Industrial Engineering from Kennesaw State University and currently work on the UPS Strategy Team.

Basketball is a true passion of mine, and I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the team's growth and success this season.

Team Event

Team Bonding Event - Friday, March 6th in Gainesville

Dr. Mark Causey - Duke letterman and successful business owner

We won't play our first tournaments until March 14th. The week prior to that we will be having a team bonding event in Gainesville.

Our boys will be staying overnight in an incredible lake house on Lake Lanier that was donated by one of our program sponsors.

On Friday evening, Dr. Mark Causey will be joining us to speak with the boys and answer any questions they have. Dr. Causey lettered at Duke and is now a successful business owner.

This will be an awesome opportunity for our players to learn about high-level basketball and how to translate their hard work and drive into success off the court.

Learn from a Duke letterman how to translate hard work on the court into success in life.

We will provide transportation and food. On Saturday, we will be doing a team community service project and then returning home.
